The Challenge
Flywheel and its affiliated programs have been growing significantly over the last several years. With the opening of their second location and an ever-increasing series of events + programming, the Flywheel community managers were seeing a fall-off in website engagement. Telling the story of a coworking space, a startup accelerator, and other services for entrepreneurs was cluttering up the site, resulting in a less intuitive user experience as well as growing frustration for managing all the various pages for two different locations.
The Solution
Fungi’s solution to this began with a series of strategy sessions with Flywheel’s leadership team to uncover their high-level offerings and build out a more intuitive user experience. After review of the website’s marketing analytics, we determined the top pages visited were around coworking membership and meeting rooms, with startup services and participation in programs having much less engagement. The main website and affiliated websites were not secure and they took forever to load as well, so Fungi proposed a switch to new high speed hosting with better security.
The Results
Since the launch of the new website and upgrading to new secure, high speed hosting for both Flywheel as well as sister site NewVentures, performance has improved significantly across the board. Traffic has increased, bounce rates are lower, and time on site has gone from less than 2 minutes to over 7! Flywheel couldn’t be more pleased with the end result, a fresh new cohesive structure and a more engaged community of members.
